In preparation for the launch of Twelfth Edition of the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, in its Fourth Meeting this year, the Executive Committee of the Award hosted Dr Omar Al-Ubaydli, the Chairman of the Bahrain Economists Society, Director of Studies at the “Derasat” Center, to discuss the latest developments in the field of economic research, where during the meeting, Dr Al-Ubaydli reviewed some of the modern methods in designing competitions in the field of economic research that aim to attract the largest number of versed researchers.
The members of the Executive Committee of the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award hailed the information that Dr Al-Ubaydli introduced during the presentation and praised the comments he said.
On his part, Dr Al-Ubaydli thanked the members of the Committee hosting, and expressed his happiness of the cooperation with the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, which he affirmed is one of the most important prestigious awards in the Arab world, and one of the few awards that are keen to reward the scientific effort, wishing the Award success and good luck in the next season.
The Meeting was chaired by Mrs Mona Kanoo in the presence of the members of the Executive Committee, Dr Ibrahim AlHashemi, Dr Nadhem Al-Saleh, Dr Abdulla Yateem and Dr Waleed Zubari.
During the next September, the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award will announce its competitions for the Twelfth Season, which will address three main fields; namely the Economic Research, University Research and Arts.
During the new season and as it has been customary, the Award seeks to continue attracting many qualitative participations in its competitions from all over the Arab world.
